What If You Can Win By Being Yourself?

Also:  What if it is impossible to win by not being yourself?  Suppose you “win” by not being you?  Is that winning?  Look around.  The billionaires are looking very sad.  They have all the money we need to fix our teeth, pay our bills, have our surgeries, send our children to good schools, and keep ourselves out of cardboard boxes on the street.  They pay more for shoes than we pay for rent.  Who are they?  Do they know anymore?  Did they ever?  Meditation is good for this kind of query.  There you sit on your cushion, not made of money, and let Life wash over your intentions.  What are they?  What have they been?  Is there a path through the biillions?  Where does it lead?  Can you admit that you are lost?  That is what too much money is for, to clutter the path you no longer can see.

Unless you live forever, so much of what you have is useless.  The boat’s too big, the houses too, the ring as well.  Alas.  But it is not too late!  Stop the expensive wedding plans that a village could live on for five centuries.  Give up the mines and whatnot stolen from the poor in places you’ve never had to see.  Who are you now?  Is it really the you of your dreams?  When you were little, did you ever dream the world would get so tired of you boasting of all the toys you’ve kept?  And guess what, too?  The world no longer wants your kind of toys!  It wants happiness.  It wants joy. It wants to boogie, and kiss a lot. ~aw
