From the Land of Honest People: A Leader Who Loves Us
This love is what will ameliorate our suffering if not end it, in time. Someone who gives us a tractor when we need one to clear our fields. Someone to sink a well, when we are dying of thirst. Someone who remembers and will teach us also that we know how to make our own beautiful coth, and shoes. Someone who honors the just and places flowers on the grave of another son of Burkina Faso, Thomas Sankara. We are a very old people, but not so ancient we can not recognize a dutiful son. ~aw

Este amor es lo que aliviará nuestro sufrimiento, si no lo acaba, con el tiempo. Alguien que nos brinda un tractor cuando lo necesitamos para desbrozar nuestros campos. Alguien que abre un pozo, cuando nos estamos muriendo de sed. Alguien que recuerde y nos enseñe también que sabemos cómo hacer nuestra propia ropa y zapatos hermosos. Alguien que honra a los justos y pone flores en la tumba de otro hijo de Burkina Faso, Thomas Sankara. Somos un pueblo muy anciano, pero no tanto como para no poder reconocer a un hijo obediente. ~ aw
